Background

You are Horatio McGruber, a resident of Earth in the year 2335.

As a child you lived under the iron thumb of the raptor space pirates, a sophisticated race of swashbuckling dinosaurs from a distant galaxy. They take residence just outside the Earth's atmosphere, leading regular patrols on the surface, always ready to kill. No one knows what their obsession is with Earth as the raptors, since their initial arrival in 2258, have enforced a strict regime in which the study or act of space travel is punishable by death. This regime has reduced the human race to the bare minimum and they're fed up. It's time for a change.

You are part of an elite underground army called the Raptures. As a Raptures your priorities are to remain undetected and to kill quickly and efficiently. After years spent salvaging parts and studying raptor behavioural patterns the time has come to stand up to the oppression of the space pirate overlords.

Today you launch alongside a team of fellow Raptures in a single stealth fighter, it's a longshot... but it's all you've got.


Story as it unfolds

You find yourself in the Raptures underground base. As you make your way to the stealth fighter you learn the ropes, a tutorial if you will. You put on your space suit at which point you approach a cracked mirror, the best way to describe your appearance is a futuristic samurai. Your crew board the fighter and depart earth, destined for one of the many pirate ships orbiting the Earth. What will you discover upon arrival?
